The Chicago Central operated the former Illinois Central Iowa Division which ran primarily across Illinois and Iowa. Even though the lines were considered a secondary Granger route by the Illinois Central, in it's heyday it hosted express Meat Trains, and famed passenger trains such as The Land O' Corn and The Hawkeye.
